Saturday 4th September saw us back on the road leaving Gympie at 9am with Sandy at the helm; we only had a short drive down to Brisbane (165km) to stay at the Big 4 Brisbane North Side Caravan Park at Aspley on the Gympie road. We had booked to stay in one of their cabins (villa) for two nights, with the idea that we may stay on there with the van if the site was okay. On arrival we booked in for the cabin and then also decided to book three nights on a powered site for the van. Because we had arrived at the caravan park at the weekend, there was only the standby staff on duty at the time, they asked for the size of the rig, which we told them 21 foot. With this in mind they booked us onto a 25 foot site which should have fairly easy access, however there was a parking (marriage saving) service, you just need to ask. We settled into our cabin and had a quick seet at the van site we had booked, hmm, could be tricky. Sandy and I decided that we would ask for the parking service as we did not want to scratch, ding, or scrape our shiny new rig (nor look a complete fool).
