Monday 11th October (still raining) and Sandy is off to the caravan park office to see if we can stay another night (we will be permanents soon). The car is booked in with ARB for 3 pm to have the back LED indicator changed, and we are still waiting on finding out if we can get the Cooper tyre changed (a work in frustrating progress). Sandy has booked a stay for four nights in a caravan park just outside of Noosa at a place called Tewantin, so that we are well placed to turn up for our Farm Familiarisation course starting 25th October, should be fun. The rest is on hold until we can work out what is happening with the cooper tyre. We do want to head west again and stay up and around a place called Murgon; however we will have to see how it all pans out.
Well, ARB came up with the goods and fixed the indicator as promised despite their workshop being an island in an area that was well flooded. I have to say that we are very impressed by ARB and their customer service back-up. We got a call from the Area Manager from Cooper Tires, who met us at the caravan park (still in the rain) who inspected the suspect tyre and assured us that it was sound and good to travel on. He made a note of the suspect area so that there would be no dispute if something else went wrong further down the track.
By Tuesday morning the rain had finally stopped and the flood waters had started to recede, so we booked a site at Barambah Bush Caravan Park, just outside Murgon, for the 8 nights before we were due in the Noosa area.
